Heero: "This is BS if I ever saw it. Don't believe a word you read here! Treize manipulated me into killing that plane full of pacifists, and Zechs tried to blow up Earth!"

Treize: "I had no choice."

Zechs: "I love Earth."

Heero: "Liars!" *takes out gun*

Lark: ".....Heero...."

Heero: *pointing gun at zechs and treize* "Yes?"

Lark: "No...."

Heero: *sighs* "Fine..."

Lark: "A lot of people call Treize and Zechs the 'bad guys' of Gundam Wing."

Treize: "The real enemy is Romafeller. And I stepped down from that."

Zechs: "I refused to fight for them."

Lark: "You're on the right track. The *real* enemies are, in my opinion, Romafeller with their mobile dolls, and Libra."

Heero: "That's not a person!"

Lark: "So? It's still bad!"

Heero: *mutters* "I still say Zechs is evil..."

Lark: "Yeah, sure, both of them did things that aren't so great, but so did everyone! Look at Quatre! He blew up colonies! Is he evil?"

Zechs: "That kid? No."

Lark: "Look at Trowa! He blew up Deathsythe for OZ!"

Heero: "He didn't have a choice."

Lark: Or how about Wufei? He killed Treize."

Heero: "That's a good thing!"

Lark: "What about Duo? He saved Relena!"

Heero: *eyes narrow* "I will destroy her."

Lark: "Or what about Heero?"

Heero: *pause* "What about me?"

Lark: "You blew up that plane full of pacifists!"

Heero: "It was an accident!"

Lark: "And you started killing *everyone* under the Zero System."

Heero: "It made me go crazy!"

Lark: *raises eyebrows*

Heero: "Look, half of your little 'reasons' for the pilots being evil are pathetic."

Lark: "Oh really? But aren't they bad? From a certain point of view?"

Heero: "Are you Obi-wan Kenobi now?"

Lark: "I'm serious. If you look at it from the point of view of the side that's getting hurt, of course it's bad."

Zechs: "Lark...you're getting as confusing as Treize."

Treize: "I'm following her."

Heero: "You would."

Lark: "Let me get to the point."

Treize and Zechs--
Not the Villains!
The following is all my crazy opinions and thoughts. Don't hate me ^_^

Some people say that Treize and Zechs are the villains in Gundam Wing. Other people say that there *are* no real baddies. I'm definitely with the latter group. Why? We'll start with my favorite:

Yes, he had some people killed. We know for a fact he ordered Lady Une to have Vice Foreign Minister Dorlin murdered. But he *was* in the way. I'll try to explain.
Treize's plan involved starting a war to obtain peace. To start a war, he would have to put the colonies against Earth. He couldn't do that with pacifists around, trying to smooth things over, so he had to 'dispose of' all the people like Dorlin, or like the people in the plane Heero blew up. These people had to be sacrificed to obtain peace through a war. Treize *was* sorry. He told Wufei this in their last battle. He doesn't take human life lightly. In fact, what does he do at the end: sacrifice himself. Hm...does that make *any* sense, or is it starting to show that I love Treize by the way I'm confusing everyone?

Anyway, another reason Treize is not evil is because he stepped down from Romafeller. *Romafeller* is the bad organization here, *not* OZ. Romafeller was the one building the heartless mobile dolls for wars. Treize hated the mobile dolls because how could you fight a war without people? If you believe in a cause, you should have the *people* fight, yes? People fight because they believe in something. If they are using mobile dolls to fight, they're not losing any people, but they're losing the meaning in war. So Treize stepped down from his position in OZ and denounced Romafeller and it's use of the mobile dolls. This is *good*.

Trying to destroy Earth was a very bad thing to think, but Zechs is *not* evil. If he was evil he would have killed Noin. If he was evil he would have killed Heero instead of telling him to save himself. Zechs does not believe in senseless slaughter, as was seen when he destroyed Alex and Muller for doing so. And he won't fight unfairly either. Why kind of villain fights fair?

Zechs wouldn't fight for Romafeller. Why? Cause they're evil. *They're* the villains. Anyone who doesn't fight for Romafeller can't be all bad.

Zechs wants peace. He was brought up this way. The was I interpret Zechs is that he was so desperate to find somewhere he could belong after he destroyed his family, so he hooked up with the White Fang because he could promote his idea of peace. The only way he thought he could save the colonies was destroying Earth, and eliminating one of the two sides. He wasn't right in the head when he did this. And he went back in the end, so can't be evil.

I'll admit Zechs was definitely everyone's enemy at the end of the series. After all, he tried to kill Treize with the Libra cannon. But he was lost, and grasping at straws, and he recovered at the end, so he's not really the villian after all.
 

Lark: "Whoa. Gundam Wing is confusing." *hand to her head* "My head hurts."

Treize: "Let me get something straight. If *I'm* not the enemy..."

Zechs: "And *I'm* not the enemy..."

Heero: "And Romafeller's gone..."

All three: "Who *is* the enemy at the end?"

Lark: "........Libra. Cause it's going to crash into Earth."

Heero: "But--"

Lark: "Shut up! That's enough!"

Heero: "Doesn't matter. I saved the day."

Lark: "Yes you did." *hugs heero*

Heero: "I'm the soul of outer space."

Zechs: "The *what*?"

Treize: "Excuse me?"

Lark: *mutters* "You know when Treize doesn't understand it's gotta be bad..."

Heero: "Well that's what Quatre said..."

Lark: "Yeah, well he had just lost a lot of blood from when Dorothy stabbed him. I don't think he was feeling very well."

Heero: ".................."

Treize: "Hmm...I wonder if she changed anyone's mind with her explanations."

Heero: "I doubt it."
