Treize: "Why did you put this on the site?"

Heero: "So she can whine and complain about you thankfully kicking the bucket."

Lark: "Heero!! THANKFUL?!" *glares*

Heero: *innocent smile* "I mis-spoke. Want me to kill Wu-fei?"

Lark: "No...."

Zechs: "Want me to kill Wu-fei?"

Treize: "No! No killing Wu-fei."

Lark: *mutters* "Not just yet anyway...."

You're probably wondering why on Earth I have *this* page. Well, since I love Treize, I don't really enjoy his death. So, here are my reactions to it first off.

The First Time

The first time I "watched" Gundam Wing, I only saw about the last 8 or so episodes. Even though I didn't know much about Treize, I love him anyway, and I was *not* expecting him to die! And I had not really grown too attached to Wu-fei over those 8 episodes either. In fact, I really disliked him. Just had to make it worse...

So, I'm watching the episode calmly, and Treize and Wufei start fighting. I start getting nervous, and I start yelling at the TV, as Gundam Wing sometimes makes me do, and I told Wufei that if he killed Treize I would have to kill him. So, I'm not really listening to the dialogue of the fight at all, I'm too busy yelling. Then, after Wufei stabs Treize, I *really* start freaking out. I'm shouting curses at Wufei, and I'm pretty sure the whole house could hear me. I can't even repeat what I said here. Heh heh. It would make a sailor blush. The only clean thing I remember saying was "YOU BETTER CRY!" *Then* when Lady Une had them surrender....*growls* That only made me *more* angry. So my first reaction was, obviously, anger.

The Second Time

The second time I watched it, I still yelled at Wufei a little, hoping that maybe this time it wouldn't happen. Of course, it did, because TV episodes don't usually change the content of the episode between viewings. So this time I actually listened to the dialogue, and I almost cried! It was *so* sad! Especially his last words! (More commentary on *that* in another section...) So my second reaction was sadness.

Regarding My Feelings Towards Wufei

So Treize's death makes me both angry and sad, but more sad than angry any more. It's true that I used to hate Wufei more than *anything*, and, while I can never really like him (because he did *kill* him...) I am at least glad that he felt bad and *cried* over it. That redeems him a little. So I'm not a rabid Wu-fei hater anymore, but I don't love him either.

As for the actual death, it's a little fuzzy, isn't it? Did Wufei *really* kill Treize, or did he kill himself? I see it as an assisted suicide. Treize did go towards Wufei as though he was *going* to attack him, but he had no weapon ready to strike. Wufei, going to protect himself, stabbed Treize. I think Treize knew Wufei would do this, so it was an easy way to kill himself, as the final sacrifice for his cause for peace. *sniff* So Wu-fei was not fully responsible for Treize's death, because he *wanted* to...*sniff*...die.

Treize: "Yes. I had to."

Lark: "You did not have to!"

Zechs: "Thanks for dumping me!"

Heero: *breaks out the party hats* "Who's sad?"

Treize: "Hey...I gave you Epyon."

Heero: "It drove me crazy!"

Treize: "Well sorry. I really do look up to you Gundam pilots."

Heero: "Can't say the same for you."

Lark: "Okay, no fighting, guys! There's more!"

The Final Conversation

Here's my transcript of the final conversation between Treize and Wufei (and a little Lady Une) before Treize's death. Oh, and I apologize for spelling the names of the people Treize lists wrong.

(treize and wufei stop fighting)

Treize: "What's wrong? How come you don't use your dragon?"

Wufei: "Because I wanna fight you fair and square, Treize. That's how come."

Treize: "That's not like you. Why the hesitation."

Wufei: "Look who's talking! Why didn't you finish me back there?!"

Treize: "Well, I just couldn't destroy one of the few people that understand me."

Wufei: "You loser!" *attacks* "I can't stand the sight of you!"

Treize: "Then come and get me now."

(they fight a bit then stop again)

Wufei: "You're only capable on looking down on people like this. You're only fighting to satisfy your ego. How many people have died for you? Huh?!"

Treize: "Do you really want to know?"

Wufei: *shocked* "Huh?"

Treize: "As of yesterday, 99,822 people."

Wufei: "What?"

Treize: "Lady...how many have died today?"

Lady Une: *comes on screen* "So far we have received confirmation of the deaths of 82 White Fang soldiers and 105 of our own soldiers."

Treize: *hand to his face, looking upset* "I see. Give me their names later on today."

Lady Une: "Yes, sir. I will." *screen blinks off*

Wufei: "Blast you!"

Treize: "I remember everyone who sacrificed their life in battle. How could I forget them? Noventa, Septum, Ventae, Dorlin, Walker, Otto, Bunt. Their names are all etched into my heart."

Wufei: "How could you be such a..."

Treize: "I can only grieve over the lives of those who fought. But at least try to understand this: not one of those people have died in vain." *he charges at wu-fei and wu-fei stabs the mobile suit* "That was...beautiful...Wufei..."

Wufei: "No! Treize! How could you?!"

Treize: "Bye, Wufei...my eternal friend. I'm honored I could fight with you pilots."

Wufei: "This can't be true! No way! I won't let this happen!"

Treize: "Milliardo...I'll be waiting on the other side."

(the suit explodes and treize dies)

Wufei: "Dammit!" *slams down his fist* "I didn't think I would win!" *hangs his head and cries*

~*R.I.P Treize*~

Lark: *tears* "I hate that scene!"

Zechs: *tear* "............."

Heero: *eats popcorn* "Wish I had been there, rather then with Relena."

Treize: "Hm. Sweetie, why don't you have Wu-fei on the page with us?"

Lark: ".....me and him...don't get along."

Heero: "Not at all."

Treize: "Why? What's the problem?"

Heero: "He hates her."

Lark: "And I hate him."

Treize: "That's too bad."

Lark: "He's not worth my time."

Zechs: "Heero!"

Lark: "HEERO!"

Heero: "It wasn't me."

Lark: "Look, I know you don't like Treize, but you don't have to throw it in everyone's face!"

Heero: *sad puppy face* "I'm sorry. Can you forgive me?"

Lark: "...We'll see about that."
